COVID-19 POLICY

This practice is in compliance with the recommendations by the Center for Disease Control and the American Dental Association in regards to Covid-19.  The safety and health of our patients and staff are at the forefront of our concern at all times, and as a result, we have developed these policies and protocols for maintaining a safe environment:

 

Masks are currently optional for patients entering the practice. However, our front office staff will continue to wear masks inside the practice and clinical staff will continue to wear personal protective equipment at all times of patient contact.

 

Our already-stringent cleaning protocol has been upgraded and extra attention is paid each day to sanitizing all areas of the office, with special care given to patient contact and public areas. As always, our tools are sterilized after every use and equipment is disinfected.

 

All patients will receive a Covid screening over the phone at the time the appointment is made.  Be prepared to answer questions regarding the presence of symptoms, any recent positive test and potential exposure to Covid-19.  Prior to the appointment, an additional screening will be sent via confirmation/reminder text message.

 

Patients who are exhibiting symptoms, have tested positive or have been exposed will not be able to attend their scheduled appointment.  Our office staff will reschedule the appointment based on the CDC recommended timing – after 5 days symptom free for vaccinated patients and after 10 days symptom free for non-vaccinated patients.

 

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding with these policies as we strive to maintain a clean and safe environment so that we may continue to see patients. If you have any concerns about your ability to follow these policies, please discuss them with our staff at the time you make your appointment.  There is a zero tolerance policy for any belligerence towards staff due to disagreement or misunderstanding.
